RCA Interaction Design Application
The aim of this project was to get an interview on the Interaction Design MA course at the RCA. Using an WW2 ammunition box, an old mobile phone and some disused machinery switches I constructed a portfolio that would remotely enable me to catch the tutors in a surprise conversation.
When the tutors received the box they had to follow instructions wrtten on the inside.
1. Plug the box into the mains via the power adapter provided.
2. Flick the switch and push the buttons in the correct order guided by the red light.
3. And wait...(speak clearly into the microphone located at the top of the box).
Meanwhile my phone rang and I had but a few rings to compose myself. Although the sound was muffled I was able to inform them that I was very much looking forward to meeting them in person at interview!
